Realistic Prerequisites

  • Students recommended knowing 18.01, but had no hard prerequisites.

Subject Matter

  • Students felt like the subject matter was theoretical, and gave them the confidence to take higher level analysis courses.

Course Staff

  • The professor and the TA were seen as approachable and engaging.
  • The TAs made sure to double check students understood the material in office hours.

Lectures

  • Lectures were helpful, as students liked doing proofs together in class.
  • Students learned the most from lectures and problem sets.

Problem Sets

  • Students often worked with others, and spent 5-7 hours on the assignment.
  • Lectures prepared students well for the psets.
