The content of 18.01 and 18.02 was a necessary prerequisite, and some students recommended background in linear algebra as well.
Some proof experience may be helpful, but is not required.
Subject Matter
Most thought it was theoretical, but occasionally mentioned a few applications.
Course Staff
Students found the course staff approachable. Students mentioned that he would stay around after class to answer questions, and that he would give very detailed responses to questions
The TA was also very helpful and supportive.
Lectures
Students found lectures to be somewhat disorganized, and very theoretical.
Lecture recordings helped students go back and review any material missed from the class.
Problem Sets
Students found the problem sets doable, especially if you attended office hours.
There were 4 psets during the semester, and recitations prepared students well for the psets.
Exams
Students found the exams tough, but that grading was lenient.
